Vote for Photo of the Year 2010 Week One: Sydney

By World Triathlon Admin | 01 Nov, 2010

With the 2010 season now part of the record books, it’s time to take a look back at some of the year’s greatest photographs.  With seven of the world’s most iconic cities serving as backdrops for the globe’s best triathletes, our photographers came away with some incredible imagery to showcase the sport of triathlon.

The Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series kicked off in Sydney, and then moved north to Seoul.  Europe took centre stage then, as we went from Madrid to Hamburg, London, Kitzbühel, and finished with the Grand Final in Budapest.  Over the coming weeks, we’ll dip into the vault of images that were etched into our minds over the season, and as the calendar year comes to a close, your votes will elect the ITU Photo of the Year.

This edition – starting with a collection of the best images from Sydney – will mark the debut of the contest as we work our way to the final week, where the Photo of the Year will be chosen from the Series’ seven best images.

In addition to the final tally of votes from fans, each Friday will see the ITU Photographer reveal their favourite image from the event and behind-the-scenes notes, so make sure to stay tuned to see how your choice matches up!

Now, the voting for the best image from the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Sydney is open – choose your favourite image!
