By Nicola Hargreaves | 18 Sep, 2011

Athletes are clearly excited to be back in Japan ahead of the 2011 Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series Yokohama on Monday. Here is a round-up of what our international athletes have been saying about the land of the rising sun.

@bevanjdocherty Bevan Docherty
Great to be in Japan supporting the race and the people. I love this place and the people, so friendly, polite & welcoming…

@MaccaNow Chris McCormack
Have to say, the streets here in Japan are immaculate. Kudos to the Japanese for being so clean and litter free.

@andreahewittt Andrea Hewitt
Yokohama is 100 times more western than Beijing. Happy to be in Japan. Happy to have twitter and facebook. Never thought I would think that.

@katiepure Kate Roberts
My first time in Japan & hopefully it won’t be my last.. Awesome place to visit!

@_Moffy Emma Moffatt
Hanging out in Yokohama, Japan for the last race of the season tomorrow!! Enjoying all the yummy sushi and the hot/humid weather.

@lisamensink Lisa Mensink
Phew…made it out of China. In Yoko, no more censored Internet! The sky is blue & my bed is softer…much happier here!

@aileenmorr Aileen Morrison
I think I love Japan.

@andigiglmayr Andreas Giglmayr
And I think every athlete is saying the same, it feels very good to be in Japan now, after two weeks in land without sun!:)
