As the summer continues to heat up, Corner Brook is getting ready for TRI-FEST 2005 and now the start lists are available for the 2005 ITU Corner Brook World Cup.

Go to the Corner Brook event page for full details and start lists.

The annual summer festival of triathlon and multi-sport is set to take place this July 12th through 17th, with events for athletes of all ages, abilities and disciplines to take part in.

In addition to the popular Cycle Challenge, Aliant Downtown Dash and Corner Brook Pulp & Paper Swim Relay events, Corner Brook will also play host to the K-Rock Canadian Aquathlon Championships, an event that combines both swimming and running.

Also included in the TRI-FEST 2005 line-up is the annual Kids of Steel race, a non-timed event that focuses on fun and participation for all athletes ages 3 through 15.  In addition, Corner Brook will be the host city for the Atlantic Regional Kids of Steel Championships, a timed event for athletes aged 11 through 15.

A new addition to Corner Brook’s event schedule this year is an ITU World Series Duathlon race.
This year marks Corner Brook’s eighth consecutive ITU Triathlon World Cup, making this city one of the longest-running venues on the circuit.  Also included in the Tri-Fest 2005 line-up is the 24th annual Corner Brook Triathlon, an age-group race that will provide 2 Canadian qualifying spots per age category for each of the 2005 Triathlon World Championships, and 2005 and 2006 Duathlon World Championships.
