ITU European Level II Competitive Coaching Course, Croatia

The International Triathlon Union hosted an ITU Accredited Level II Competitive Coaching course in Pula, Croatia from 9 - 13 October.

The course targeted coaches who are involved with the education and coaching of National Federation (NF) athletes with an emphasis on coaches from National Federations that do not have existing NF coach education programmes, as well as prospective Coach Education Coordinators from National Federations. The Level II Competitive Coaching course integrates sport sciences with triathlon specific preparation, planning and evaluation of the competitive athlete from junior though to under 23.

The course was presented by ITU European Sport Development coordinator Alan Ley, Portugal’s High Performance Director Sergio Santos and Luc Morin, the performance coach and consultant to high performance triathlon and cycling team Zeljko Bijuk.

21 coaches from 10 different European countries (Croatia, Malta, Hungary, Netherlands, Ireland, Cyprus, Serbia, Bulgaria, Italy, Luxembourg) attended the successful course.
